Defoamers eliminate foam mainly by reducing the surface tension of foam, destroying the stability of foam film or promoting the coalescence of foam.
According to their chemical composition, defoamers can be divided into various types such as silicones, mineral oils, polyethers, organosilicon modified polyethers, fatty acids, etc. Each type has differences in applicable environment, effectiveness, and environmental friendliness.
