Exploration into the Mechanism of Action of Defoamers
Release time:2024-08-21 Page-views:73

Gypsum self leveling materials are widely used in the construction field due to their excellent fire resistance, sound insulation, and environmental performance. However, in the process of production and construction, the foam problem has become a major obstacle affecting its quality and construction efficiency. As an important tool to solve this problem, the mechanism of action of defoamers is particularly important. Select the appropriate defoamer, choose the appropriate type and dosage of defoamer according to the formula and construction requirements of gypsum self leveling material, to ensure that it can achieve the best effect. Add defoamers to gypsum self leveling materials in the prescribed proportion and order, and mix thoroughly to ensure uniform distribution and effectiveness. Strictly control the mixing speed, time, temperature and other parameters during the construction process to ensure that the defoamer can fully exert its effect and achieve the expected construction effect.

Defoamers mainly function through two ways: one is to reduce the surface tension of the liquid, causing the bubble membrane wall to rapidly thin and rupture; The second is to form a thin film by adsorbing on the surface of bubbles, which hinders the merging of bubbles and suppresses the generation of new bubbles. Polyether powder defoamers have been widely used in gypsum self leveling systems in recent years. They can quickly disperse in the material, continuously exert defoaming effects, and significantly improve the uniformity and stability of the material.
