How to deal with the precipitation or layering phenomenon of defoamers in green building materials?
Release time:2024-08-27 Page-views:39

Firstly, it is necessary to clarify the specific reasons for sedimentation or stratification phenomena. According to existing knowledge, the reasons for the stratification of defoamers are usually related to their physical and chemical properties, storage conditions, and interactions with other substances. For example, because of its thermodynamic instability, lotion defoamer is prone to separation of oil phase and water phase under long-term standing or storage conditions, resulting in stratification. In addition, factors such as temperature fluctuations, lighting, vibration, microbial contamination, and dilution may also cause stratification.

Store defoamers in a cool, dry, well ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. Avoid vibration and frequent movement of storage containers to reduce delamination caused by physical factors. Choose defoamer raw materials with good stability and strong compatibility to reduce the risk of delamination. Pay attention to checking the shelf life and production date of defoamers to avoid using expired products.

If it is necessary to dilute the defoamer, it should be done according to the recommendations in the product manual to avoid excessive dilution that may damage its stability. Suitable diluents and dilution methods should be used to ensure that the diluted defoamer still maintains good performance.

For defoamers that have already undergone stratification, their components can be re mixed by stirring or shaking. This can usually restore the performance of defoamers, but attention should be paid to the uniformity and adequacy of stirring. If the stratification is caused by microbial contamination, it may be considered to add an appropriate amount of bactericidal agent to kill the internal bacteria. However, attention should be paid to the selection and dosage of fungicides to avoid adverse effects on green building materials. If the layering phenomenon is severe and cannot be restored to performance through stirring or sterilization treatment, or if the defoamer has deteriorated (such as accompanied by odor changes, abnormal color, etc.), consideration should be given to replacing it with a new defoamer product.

To deal with the precipitation or layering phenomenon of defoamers in green building materials, it is necessary to start from three aspects: understanding the causes, preventive measures, and response measures. By controlling storage conditions, selecting appropriate raw materials and dilution methods, timely mixing and stirring, and replacing products or consulting professionals if necessary, the problem of layering can be effectively solved and the production quality of green building materials can be guaranteed.
