SHORT DESCRIPTION:

9408 is mainly composed of polyether siloxane copolymer. It is a silicone wetting agent with ultra-low surface tension.

FEATURES:

9408 can be used in water-based substrate wetting and solvent-based substrate wetting. It has excellent spreading properties, good recoating and flowability promotion, and can greatly improve adhesion. It can help paint or ink to wet the surface of various substrates, even can wet substrates with very low surface energy, so, the surface defects such as shrinkage holes or edge shrinkage can be prevented, and the flow, leveling and adhesion of the paint film are improved. It is effective even the addition amount is extremely low. When this product is mixed with the system solution in a certain proportion, it can reduce the contact angle between water and the substrate, thus increase the coverage of the coating system and improve the wetting effect of the substrate.

APPLICATIONS:

9408 can be added to water-based printing inks, water-based pastes, water-based adhesives, PP, water-based industrial paints, various latexes, water-based paints, oil exploration, pesticide synergists, solvent-based printing inks, glass coatings. It is also suitable for textile, fire proof, cleaning and washing products, electroplating, film coatings, UV coatings, architectural coatings, automotive paints, metal paints, engineering machinery paints, marine paints and anti-corrosion coatings, etc.

APPLICATION PROCESS: 

It can be added directly or in the form of dilution with water, isopropyl alcohol, butanediol, xylene etc. The recommended addition amount is 0.1-0.5% of the total formula amount.

The above recommended levels can be used for orientation. Optimal levels are determined through a series of laboratory tests.

SHELF LIFE:

Store in a dry and ventilated place. During storage and transportation, pay attention to moisture-proof and prevent impurities such as acid and alkali from mixing. Shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
