SHORT DESCRIPTION:

5214 is a non-ionic polyurethane associative thickener with excellent mid-shear thickening efficiency.

FEATURES:

5214 provides excellent leveling performance and anti-sag performance as well as good color paste stability. It can form micelles in the aqueous phase, so that the hydrophobic end is adsorbed with the hydrophobic structure of latex particles and surfactants, forming a three-dimensional network structure, which increases the viscosity of the system. Compared with other water-based thickeners, it has extremely comprehensive performance and has little impact on the water resistance and salt spray resistance of the paint film. Its characteristics are: anti-biodegradation, excellent anti-splash, high fullness of the coating film, uniform coating while does not affect the gloss of the paint film, and can be used in wide pH range. The thickening efficiency is affected by emulsion, PVC, solid content, etc., and it is also sensitive to surfactants, alcohol solvents and dispersants etc.

APPLICATIONS

5214 is suitable for water emulsion and water dispersion water-based paints, including water-based latex paint, wood paint and other industrial paints.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

It is recommended to use after diluting with water or co-solvent. The dosage is 0.05%-1.0% of the total amount of the formula.

The above recommended levels can be used for orientation. Optimal levels are determined through a series of laboratory tests.

PACKAGE:

125KG plastic pail or IBC.

SHELF LIFE:

Store in a cool and ventilated place. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
