With the global emphasis on sustainable development, green building materials have gradually become the mainstream trend in the construction industry. In the research and application process of green building materials, defoamers, as important auxiliary materials, have attracted much attention for their environmental performance and innovation capabilities. This article first elaborates on the definition and development background of green building materials, and then explores the current application status and challenges of defoamers in green building materials. The article focuses on analyzing how to develop more environmentally friendly and efficient defoamer products through technological innovation to meet the requirements of the green building materials industry for high performance and low pollution. Finally, the future prospects of the integration of green building materials and defoamers were discussed.
